I have to give it a one. It’s not the paddle, it’s most likely me. I didn’t care for how poppy it was. Also, the handle was too big. That’s my fault, I didn’t check the grip size. When I looked it up it was bigger than the quanta. Just because this paddle was t for me, it doesn’t mean you make a bad product. Actually, quite the opposite.

The proper balance for power with feel.

I Really like this paddle. Great control with plenty of power. My Ripple is much harder to control shots. Can't beat it for the price.

Great paddle

Love this paddle. I did add some weight to the sides in the top to increase the twist weight and swing weight, but it plays amazing for the money.

Good for control

Very plush as compared to the quanta. I feel like I can get great shape on my shots. It’s a great paddle for the money (I got it on sale at Christmas). Personally, I prefer the feel of the quanta over this, but others that I let try this paddle out really like it.

Solid All-Court Leaning Power Paddle!

This is a super interesting paddle in Ronbus's line, landing somewhere in between the Pulsar FX and the Ripple/Quanta in terms of offensive capability. It's light out of the box, leaving a lot of room for customization. Overall these paddle feels like a good all rounder, with weight on the sides it feels stable and has decent pop and power. For a foam paddle, it feels stiffer than expected almost like a crisp Gen 2. After the release of the Quanta, I'm not sure if I would get this paddle now but I still use it interchangeably and it is a solid choice.

Great power and feel

While not at the top of power with weight and a heavy swing this paddle smacks!

Intermediate player

I used to use a similar control paddle, but the Refoam adds pop to make a very nice control paddle with a little pop when you need it. Not as powerful as the Ripple, but very nice control with a bang!

Refoam R4

I've been using the Ripple V2 R4 since it's release... It's a great paddle, but sometimes feel like there is too much power/ pop... The refoam R4 has great power, pop but more control and feel for the mid court resets... All in all a fantastic all around paddle!

Refoam R1.14 after a month

The Ronbus Refoam R1.14 is a standout for players seeking a reliable, predictable, all-court paddle with a touch-friendly response. It’s especially well-suited for those who enjoy constructing points, value touch and resets, and may want a paddle that’s both customizable and durable. If you’re chasing raw pop or want immediate power, this might feel muted—yet it rewards precision and consistency.I asked for the lightest Refoam available, and Lisa delivered with a 7.6 oz static weight. I added 6 grams each at 4 & 8, tourna tac overgrip and edge guard tape. With this setup, static weight is now at 8.5 oz. I have mained this paddle for over a month now. Power - Feels less power than the V2 and definitely less than the delisted Ripple. Although, drives were impressive with significant spin and dip. Serves were average and easily shaped. Pop - Definitely has more pop than the V2 and delisted Ripple. This seems to feel the most pop in all Ronbus paddle series. Resets were effortless once you get used to the pop, mostly just blocking the ball. Control - Although with less dwell than the V2, controlling shots are manageable. It feels stiffer than the V2 and did not change even after a month. So in my opinion did not have break in period. The low static weight and my setup, firefights were no compromised compared to the heavier V2. Overall, in my honest opinion this falls in the control with lower tier power category among Ronbus series paddles. I enjoyed maining this paddle due to its low swing weight. This will stay as my go to paddle until I get my hands on the Quanta, maybe. ;)For $20 discount on Ronbus paddles, please use my code : RCOMGMCP

Great All around

My experience after playing with the R1 for 1 week. I find the R1 to be a very manageable paddle with plenty of control for drops and dinks. I did add some weight to the sides to up the plow through power and it has made a difference. I believe this paddle is more for the intermediate to advance player. I'm pleased with the performance and highly recommend it.

Control with enough power to make you happy

This paddle is light and fun to play with. Has good pop, control, power and crazy spin. This paddle for me shines with drops from baseline and drive drops. It’s definitely feels like an all court paddle with much room for customization. I did find the handle to be a little bulky that other Ronbus paddles but I got use to it. After add .5 gram weights around the paddle, this things became a weapon while also still be fast enough for speed ups in the kitchen.

Great Control Paddle

Love the feel and control of the paddle. Lacks power though. Hoping some tungsten tape will help.

R1 Refoam

I think this is a great control paddle and plays similiar to the ripple but with less power. I prefer the ripple a little bit more.

Could be a main

Tried the R1V2 Ripple, but just too heavy, so was intrigued by the Refoam line and the lighter weight. Was willing to give up some power in exchange. Yes, my serves aren't quite the weapon with the R1V2 (or something like my J2NF), but drives are still decently powerful and I feel like they dip a bit better. Dinking has been great, except for some off-center out of the air touch dinks that I need to dial in a bit more. Resets aren't quite as effortless as something like my R2FX or even the R1V2, but I will get there with a bit more sessions on the paddle. Where it definitely beats the R1V2 is in hands battles and quick reaction shots - didn't realize how much I was missing while trying to adjust from the R1 Ripple beta to the R1V2. I think this is a great power-leaning all-court paddle. It's not top tier power, but you can get there (e.g. I actually like my sitter overheads with the Refoam as I think I can generate more snap with the lighter paddle). Also, you have room to weight this up for more power and stability without compromising hand speed. My current favorite (baring the R1 Ripple beta, RIP),
