Excellent
Great grippy surface, great steady ball feel. Balance works for me as is. No complaints! I'm coming from a table tennis background so I picked this paddle looking for spin and control. Very happy!
The pro R 4 Quanta is the best all around Ronbus racquet i have ever played with. I currently own the quanta R3 and the Beta Ripple R1. I love the hyprid shape you lose a little reach but have a great sweet spot and stability on volleys in the kitchen. The racquet plays fast . I didn’t need to add any weight like with the original quanta. It has power , pop and control. Total package.
The review is simple. The paddle has a better grit surface and power without having to add lead tape. Excellent job and thanks for keeping the price affordable.
Balance is good but additional internal weight change my swing speed and need to adjust.
Pop and spin are better than original quanta
I’ve only been able to use the paddle a few times, but so far, I seem to have greater control with resetting line drives in the transition zone. It seems softer than my previous Quanta, but gives me plenty of power when needed. I love the accuracy of my shots with this paddle!
Ordered it almost 2 weeks ago, wanted to take it on vacation. Emailed Ronbus after a week and they "will let me know when it ships". On vaca now, without a new paddle, don't know if it came. Service has been low.
The paddle was ordered on a Sunday, so it shipped the next business day. A shipping notification was sent via email and we also replied to your email stating the package had been mailed and providing the tracking number again. The package is being sent to Alaska, which does take longer than the continental US. It is currently expected to be delivered before the estimated date provided at the time of your order. I apologize it did not arrive as quickly as you had hoped.
Great paddle right out of the box! No adjustments, weights. Only thing I added was over grip. Played 11 straight matches and paddle played better than expected! Still on the fence with nanogrit and the durability. Very pleased with the paddle thus far.
I ordered the Quanta Pro R4.16 for my friend Jack. He absolutely loves it. It has made an amazing difference in his game. He is so much better at resets and drives as well as the soft game around the net. He couldn’t be happier with a paddle.
So far I feel the paddle is a good fit for my style of play. I selected because of the higher twist weight associated with the paddle. It has met my expectations. No noticeable twist when playing. I feel I have had good control of my shots.
It’s an amazing paddle. Love it
I really like the paddle performance and price.
Very gritty - Great spin. Don't rub it on your shirt... it will ruin the shirt.
Great balance of control and power with a very large sweet spot.
Easily my new favorite all court paddle.
Doesn’t really need weights! Plays well stock! Great power excellent control! Great sweet spot! Definitely worth for the price! Thanks ronbus!!!!!
Love this new paddle, so far I have not added any more weight to it. I have found it to provide lots of control.
Love this paddle, plenty of power and good feel and control on soft shots.
Amazing grit on this paddle
Great
From a control standpoint it feels very good and I'm able to place shots. It does feel a little hollow out of the box without any mods however. I prefer a little heavier swing weight but this was solved by adding 9 grams per side to the paddle. This also helped give the paddle a little more pop. A good all around paddle but I couldn't give it 5 stars because the OG Quanta had this similar problem with feeling hollow and needing to add weight.
The Quanta Pro plays great right out the Box. Nice power and control. The Pop is really really good.
I did put 3 grams of weight on each side. Towards the top of the paddle. Something I do on all my paddles. My Wife said She also liked Her New Quatna Pro....
I really like the plush feel of the Quanta Pro. I'm coming from a Nova and like this feel. Great addition.

Well balanced, good twist weight, pop and power
Bought this because the R1 isn’t available in the Pro…wanted to like it but it’s just not me…
I played with the original Quanta ever since it came out, but had to glue the top edge guard on and spin got less over time. So this Quanta Pro was the perfect fix for me. Mine arrived at 7.8 oz. I weighted the original, but so far happy playing the Pro without added weight (just overgrip).
So good!!! The weighting is perfect for me, and the extra grit is giving me the topspin to hit hard drives in. It feels more powerful than my original Quanta with the same excellent control.
Ronbus did what they set out to do, and that was create an improved, straight-out-of-the-box version of the original Quanta. The only modification I’ve made so far is adding an overgrip to the handle to fit my grip preference.
The first thing I noticed was the grit on the paddle face. The NanoBond surface actually has noticeable texture to it compared to the slick surface of the OG Quanta. The increased swing weight and improved balance were immediately noticeable, while still delivering the good power and pop I liked about the original.
It’s the same basic Quanta playability, just with better spin, balance, swing and a price tag that can't be beat. I'll be getting a second one.
Fantastic paddle! First, I'm a paddle junkie. I try new paddles way too often - just ask my wife. I have found a paddle with staying power!I love being able to customize this paddle and dial it in exactly where I want it. I also played with the Quanta and if this paddle's surface holds up better, I see myself playing with it for a long time.
I like the improvement over the quanta r4. This needs less weight to be added. Seams to have better balance. The new grit will be awesome if it lasts. If only 20% better makes it worth it. Such a great value with what you get. Really nice baseline power. Ability to hit drops snd dinks is nice. Hitting speed ups is sneaky good. All of this for a great price.
Just like the original Quanta but with noticeably improved grit and hopefully sans the edge guard issue. Stability and sweet spot seems to have been improved as well due to the added internal weight. This is a very good update to the original.
A few sessions in and love it more and more each time!
Played my first session with Quanta PRO R4 today. It's a solid paddle that plays pretty much exactly the same as the standard Quanta. The new NanoBond surface feels pretty much the same as a brand new standard Quanta with peel ply surface texture. Maybe very slightly rougher but if it is its very minor. So as a result the spin is about the same as a brand new standard Quanta, which is not a bad thing at all but isn't a game changer. The test will be if the surface really lasts longer than peel ply. So far, after one three hour session I don't see any wear. A standard Quanta would usually show wear after three hours so that's promising.
Because of the six grams of built in internal weight the PRO has to be weighted differently then the std. Quanta. My std Quanta R4s are all weighted with 7.5g per side at 3/9 and have a static weight of 8.5oz with that weight. My PRO R4 came out of the box at 7.6oz and I added 4.5g per side at 3/9 (which should have been 7.5g per side total with the internal weight). But that setup felt lacking for drives and pop so I added an additional 2g right at the top center which seemed to fix the issue and now it feels and plays almost exactly like my std Quantas. Final static weight of the PRO is 8.4oz.
The PRO is a good paddle, though not revolutionary. The std Quanta is IMO the best paddle I've ever played. It only has two faults which are the edge guards constantly coming loose along the top and the peel ply surface wears out very quickly. The PRO plays nearly identically to the Quanta and supposedly fixes those two issues. Time will tell but so far so good.
