Ripple V2 R2.14

This has so much good that I expect more and more Ronbus users. Quality of construction is awesome. The spin and power are instantly noticeable. The grip is great and I was instantly all smiles while using this over a Head and a Selkirk paddle. It was also pretty smooth when used compared to a half dozen other paddles friends had. It is the new fav for sure with many game wins to show for it.

Ripple sparked significant controversy over the past 18 months. While its influence has waned, it will be remembered as a pioneering technology that helped shape the market. Under PBCor 43 regulations, it remains one of the most powerful legal instruments ever introduced. Among the lineup, the R2 shape stands out as the most forgiving design. Every moment with it was truly enjoyable!

Still quick in hand with excellent pop. Quiet and deceptively powerful. Initially, slightly stiff but will break in after a couple of sessions. Currently is one of the most powerful paddles on the market. Get one!!!

I've had about 24 hours of total play with the V2R2 after coming from Apes Pulse V for 5-6 months. I don't have a racquet sports background so generating power on my drives and put-aways have been a struggle. This paddle has solved most of my issues and has allowed me to feel more confident in my offensive game. My level of control is still comparable to my Pulse V for the most part although it took me about 8-10 hours of play/drilling time to get used to the feel of the paddle. The heavy swing weight that has been reported by many has not been an issue for me. I have even customized it with four inches of 0.5 g/inch on 4 and 8 o'clock positions of the paddle and I don't feel any significant reduction in my hand speed at the net. I would recommend this to most, but the only quarrel I have is the high price. However, competing in anything 4.0 and above is going to be littered with expensive paddles, so I guess there is some pay to play component for higher level competition.

While the increased weights were initially a concern, this is probably the first paddle in a long time that I played straight out of the wrapper without any additional weight. I wrapped the grip with grip tape and haven't looked back. I found that the paddle plays great stock, sweet spot for days, and does everything the previous Ripple did with the slightest drop in power. This paddle is power, pop, and touch, albeit touch takes a little dialing in, and maneuverable at the net.
